'06 Mazda Tribute

After a lot of changes in the previous years, it seemed there were little improvements left to do on the Mazda Tribute series. Once again, however, we were proved wrong by Mazda as they brought out the 2006 Mazda Tribute.

So, power sent to each set of wheels is controlled and hence the ride has a better control before traction is lost or during emergency control.

Agile and surefooted, this vehicle is more a car than a truck. Perfect for hauling groceries, children and even furniture, the stylish and quick 2006 Mazda Tribute is one of the favorite small SUVs available in the market today.

A 2.3 liter four-cylinder engine powers the 2006 Mazda Tribute, which is now available in new I and S trim levels instead of the earlier LX, ES and DX variants. The engine produces a decent 153 hp, which is a marked improvement over the 130 hp that the engine produced in earlier versions.

Both all-wheel drive and front-wheel drive are available. 16” tires on alloy wheels and vertical taillights adorn the exterior. Flip-up glass makes up the rear lift gate.

2005 Mazda Tribute

The 2005 Mazda Tribute is Mazda’s popular SUV offering. Some reviewers belive that the Tribute closely resembles the Ford Escape. This similarity comes as no surprise since Ford holds a controlling interest in Mazda, and both cars were released around the same time in 2001.

The 2005 Mazda Tribute is definitely the more sporty of the two vehicles, and this is clearly visible from its unique exterior trim and grille that adorns the front with specially designed headlamps.

The new 2.3 liter V-4 I model engine throws out 153 hp, significantly higher than the older 130 hp engine from previous models. A four-speed automatic gearbox that comes equipped with the V-4 engine is another first for this segment.

The car is available in both front wheel and four wheel drive options. The suspension tuning has also been changed with a new Active Torque Control Coupling System that is available with the all-wheel drive option.
